Cynthia Mckinney - blog post #4

The last past posts Cynthia mentions that the green party in the U.S has finally taken their stands on political issues. The three main issues that have been touched are racial issues, gender issues, and value issues. With in these issues the green party is said to be in support of people of color and support of women. Cynthia feels that the more women who run in the november elections then the more women will win. She hopes that in the november elections she will pick over 5% of votes. Cynthia also feels that if she pulls the victory up of green party to the highest federal level then she will begin to add further legitimacy to the party’s goals and values.
Here is a video of Cynthia supporting the green party, this video has been posted on the blog.

VP debate

With all the drama weighing on my mind, I sat down and watched the vice presidential debate. I can only speak for myself, but the pain in my head grew as I witnessed Gov. Palin deliver a performance drenched in FAKE phrases and overly simplified patriotic statements designed to seduce voters in Middle America. I hoped that she would hold her own because I know that many will judge all women in politics based on Palin's ability to perform under pressure. I also hoped that she would prove herself worthy of the office she seeks and that she would then be judged on the policy positions presented rather than on the fallout of another intellectual meltdown on national television.
One thing I actually did enjoy about the debates is that each candidate got to tell us what their roles would be as Vice-President. This really allowed me to realize which way I was leaning more. After the debate was over I had seen headlines on news sites announcing that Palin has gotten back on track and that she "defied expectations". Conservative analysts had been said to applauded her for being herself and speaking like an average American. Sometimes I feel that when Palin expresses ideas she is lost within political termonology and sounds just as I would if I were competing for vp.

Cynthia Mckinney's Blog

1. http://www.allthingscynthiamckinney.com/. The blog that I have choosen is about Cynthia Mckinney, a Green Party nominee for president of the United States. The blog allows us to see Cynthia's point of view through her runnings. There are videos also uploaded on the blog which show many of her speeches and also some of her campaigning.
2. This blog seems much more professional looking. The blog holds so many possible links to click on, all leading to more information about Cynthia. One part of this blog which really stands out to me is the rap that has been mixed by Danny Velarde in honor to Cynthia's position.
3.One specific issue talked about on Cynthia's blog is the use of oil. Cynthia has been quoted, "Right now we've got two energy policies in this country," McKinney told Grist. "One is war, the other is drilling. And neither one of them works." Cynthia wishes to win over voters who have tried Democratic and republican parties by using this message. In response to Cynthia's belief that our engery policies do not work, I feel that currently we are doing the best we can with energy issues. The way Cynthia had told her subscribers that she wants to basically capture all unknown votes seems she is very confident with her beliefs and choices. I enjoy the way Cnythia explains her point of veiw in full detail and alows readers even with ignorance to politics to fully understand her thoughts.
